É, falo. Eu não sou fluente, mas tou aprendendo sozinho todos os dias. Gostaria de mudar pra o Brasil e trabalhar em cinco anos. :)

Since L. speaks Portuguese and English fluently and I speak English and Mandarin Chinese fluently, our primary communication is done in English. But lately, we’ve had alot of fun speaking Portuguese and Chinese (he’s trying) together. Haha. :)

Thank you for your incredible kindness in supporting One day,.

The responses I’ve received were overwhelmingly positive -they serve as constant reminders that we are not alone in this challenge of distance, and that ultimately, this collective experience of love is what bonds us as a community and as human beings.

In related news, unfortunately, I will not be updating today…in fewer than 24 hours, I will be reunited with my own long distance love in his hometown of Salvador da Bahia, the beautiful Northeast of Brasil!

As a Japanese proverb states so accurately, “those who travel for love finds a thousand miles not longer than one.” Even though the visits are never long enough (and the flights are always too long), we are beyond thrilled to be back in each other’s embrace, even just for a little while.

On Tuesday, February 28th, One day, will resume its updating as usual. Until then, stay strong, love.
